Hi crash43 Welcome to the forum! Did you configure your Trend Micro to accept some files & drivers, from MBAM? both the AV part of Trend & the firewall have to be configured. Please look over this thread:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=17605 and I'll have a Malwarebytes support look over your log.

I dont have Trend antivirus or Trend Firewall......i have AVG Free and Zone Alarm firewall free one.

Thanks to all those who help me.

Trend was for someone else but your ZA will have to Trust these files

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mbam.sys

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref (Windows 2000/XP)

Since I don't work for Malwarebytes, let me get a support person to read your log.

you have a RUBotted (Trend), which I have no idea whether it would block MBAM or not, I still suspect Zone Alarm though. you have the Ask Toolbar which is adware,

Try a reboot, and see if that helps?

I've review the ZoneAlarm for blocking and did not create a canned message for it because it was very simple to allow MBAM out to the Internet to get updates. By default unless you've turned it off ZoneAlarm should have popped up and asked you if you wanted to allow mbam.exe to access the Internet, you choose YES and click on ALWAYS ALLOW and that's it.

If you disabled the alerting then looked in the Advanced section for trusted applications and set MBAM.EXE to Trusted and it should be fine.

Hi all

same issue here

errormbam.jpg

XP PRO SP 3 fully patched

OnLine Armor premium 3.5.014 (MBAM has all permissions)

Norton Antivirus 2009

PREVX 3.0

Spyware Blaster 4.2

Same issue in my HP laptop running Vista home premium SP 1

ESET Smart Security 4.0

Winpatrol Plus

PREVX 3.0

SpywareBlaster 4.2

Thanks in advance

@leofelix: You probably need to add MBAM's files to the exlusions of NAV and ESET (and possibly PREVX and WinPatrol) as well.

Hi exile360

Thank you

MBAM files are into the exclusion list of ESET, NAV and PREVX.

I have this issue in a laptop running XP Home SP3 too with NOD32 3.0 and XP built in Firewall turned on.

This issue happens from time to time, I could update MBAM some minutes ago for example. After a while I got the same error

My computers are all clean (not infected by any kind of malware I mean) and perfectly working.

Exactly the same thing happened this morning to me: win xp sp3, real time protection Kaspersky Internet Security. Two days ago I could easily update, as usual. Today I couldn't with the same advice error code 732 (0,0).

Of course I'm 100% with no malware (in the last two days I have been off line).

Is there any other possible reason which leads to suddenly face with this type of error (updating of KIS or anything else?) from time to time?

Thanks for any suggestion.

Well it's certainly quite possible that either your connection to one of our update servers is temporarily down, or your own ISP might have brief interrupts but they should be very short and if you check back within a few minutes to say an hour if it is one of those reasons it will typically work now.

Though it could also be that Kaspersky updated their definitions and is now blocking some part of MBAM.

Exile360 has a lot of experience with Kaspersky and I'll ask him to stop by and offer any input as he uses it too.

Thank you Ron for your reply

I was wondering if the previous attempt to install Explorer 8 (which I have refused, keeping IE 7; I use Firefox) has something to do with it: in fact only after that and after Kaspersky update, I tried to update MBAM as well (also Superantispyware update did not work).

Thanks for your suggestions.

Well that is a bit curious if SAS won't update either. Check and make sure IE7 is not using a proxy as I think both programs use the settings from IE, also make sure its not set to OFF LINE

Gosh, you were right: I can't believe it but it was simply due to the fact that I was off line!

Sorry for your time spent to help me Ron.

At least I'm now able to update my MBAM whenever i want!

Thanks again for your help.

Here is another method to confirm that Internet Explorer is set to the Online mode.

Click on START - RUN and Copy/Paste the following into the run line (On Vista you can use the Search line) and click OK

REG ADD "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" /v GlobalUserOffline /t REG_DWORD /d 0
