Help! Windows Activation Pro rogue

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, so I have a virus on my computer. When I log in, it brings me to a black screen and a window pops up asking me to enter a windows product key, as suspicious software has been detected. Before, I was able to cntrl + alt + delete to the task manager, but since rebooting again my keyboard and mouse will not work. I am only able to access the login screen. I'm on Windows 7, Thanks!

Before we get started (or to get started, however you want to look at it), do you have access to a working, non-infected system to download a few tools and / or burn a boot scanning tool?

Or can you get to Safe Mode by tapping F8 during the system initial power-up?

You can try this BUT if you are not able to navigate at any time via the keyboard / mouse then you may have to take the system to a repair shop to have the drive scanned / repaired by a working computer.

Download the following three programmes to your desktop :  (I have sent the links for the Win7 Recovery Console downloads to you in a PM.  Check the envelope in the menu bar at top.)
1.  Rufus
For 64bit systems
2. Windows 7 64bit RC
3. Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64
For 32bit systems
2.  Windows 7 RC
3. Farbar Recovery Scan Tool
Insert the USB stick Then run Rufus.

Select the ISO file on the desktop via the ISO icon.
Press Start Burn

Then copy FRST to the same USB
Insert the USB into the sick computer and start the computer.  First ensuring that the system is set to boot from USB
Note: If you are not sure how to do that follow the instructions Here
Windows 7 and Vista screenshots

When you reboot you will  see this.
 Click repair my computer
Select your operating system
Select Command prompt
At the command prompt type the following  :
notepad and press Enter.
The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
Select "Computer" and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
In the command window type e:\frst64.exe  or  e:\frst.exe dependant on system
 and press Enter
Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
The tool will start to run.
When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
