Infected by email....

I opened a suspicious email by mistake.  My computer immediately went to a page that said you have been infected and your email contacts, credit card numbers and bank account numbers and social security number have been read.  It purported to be a Microsoft site and said call this 800 number for instructions on how to get rid of the infection.  All the time a loud honking noise was going on.   The MS logo was a square, not wavy, so I did not do what it said to do.  Had a hard time closing it down, but did so.  Then I started getting bounce back emails that couldn't go thru.  I warned everyone I could not to open any emails from me that look suspicious.  I ran my Malware Bytes full scan, but it came up as finding no infection.  Do i still have a problem on my PC?

If you didn't call any number and do not have any symptoms on your PC, then there is no need to worry about.
