Today I am getting "The Beta Period Has Expired" on the anti-ransomware console. Upon clicking the "Get Details" button I am brought to this forum where there is no obvious communication. Could you please advise as to the status of this product. I find it unfair to participate in a Beta and then BOOM get turned off with no available option whether that's free or paid.

Hi andreseng. Thanks for the log. Are you still seeing this issue?

We recently retired the built-in license for the Beta 5 builds. Beta 6, build 416, was released some time ago and we want everyone on Beta 6.

The logs suggest your program version is 0.9.15.416, is that correct? And you are still seeing an expired message with this build? Can you provide a screenshot of the Dashboard in the currently installed program please?

Great. Thanks for providing all that data. Beta 6 (build 0.9.15.416) should not be terminating the Beta period. It looks like your installation has not been able to communicate correctly with our servers and obtain the new Beta 6 key.

I would suggest that you uninstall the existing program, and then download it again and install it fresh.

Download link (beta6 - build 0.9.15.416)

It looks like the MBARW client is unable to contact our servers. I'd like to run a tool to help with diagnostics.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) and save it to your desktop.

  •  Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
  • For 32-bit (x86) editions of Windows: >>  http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/farbar/FRST.exe
  • For 64-bit (x64) editions of Windows: >>  http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/farbar/FRST64.exe
  • Double-click on FRST to run it.
  • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Leave all settings as they are.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • When the scan is done, it will save the reports to the same location as “FRST” (if you had saved “FRST” on your desktop, then the reports will be saved on the desktop). Please attach FRST.txt to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
