Windows 7 64 and 32 Bit Temporary User Profile

Hi,

Using the program and 2 systems (Thank you) and have problems with both systems sometimes not loading the correct profile, instead a Temporary Profile is generated.  One system is Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit and the other Windows 7 32 bit.

Reading through the Forum, I can only add that both systems are using Avira Anti-Virus Pro.  This occurs 'about' every other time.  The systems are on a small personal network, but are not in a domain.

Attached are files from the 64 bit system.  I will add the same files from the 32 bit system shortly in another post.

Hello CeeJay and :welcome:

The following is meant only for the Windows 7 SP1 32-bit system:

Rather than a simple re-install of MBARW Beta6, and even if a clean install has already been done, please consider a clean install of MBARW Beta6:

1. Close all open user applications followed by a conventional Windows based uninstall of Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware through the Windows system Control Panel.
2. If MBARW Beta was uninstalled successfully, the following sub-directories will have been deleted from a typical Windows 7SP1 x64 system:

Note: Please check in the 32-bit equivalents of the following sub-directories.

                         C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\
                         C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware\
                         C:\ProgramData\MBAMService\

3. If any of the above directories remain, please delete them manually.  If necessary, any remaining/uninstalled directory must be deleted in the Windows Safe mode.
4. Execute a conventional Windows restart to the Normal Windows boot mode and log-in through an Administrator's account. <===IMPORTANT!
5. Using an Administrator's account only, download a fresh MBARW_Setup.exe file and save to the Administrator's Desktop from the MBARW Introduction topic.
6. Right-click the saved MBARW_Setup.exe file and left-click RunAsAdmin.jpg  Run as administrator from the context menu and continue.
7. Upon a successful installation, please restart the computer in a conventional manner to the Windows Normal boot mode.

Please reply to your topic with the status of your reported issue.  Thank you for beta testing MBARW and your valued feedback.

Hi,

Thank you for your quick response.

Carried out instructions exactly as shown above.  The only part left after the Windows uninstall was the folder:
C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware\

Reinstalled using Run as Administrator and it found a 'false positive' wpxsvc.exe (part of Prey) - files attached.

What do I need to do to the 64 bit system to stop the temporary profile keep happening?  Same as above?
