Android/PUP.Riskpay.Xinyin.wch and Android/PUP.Riskware.batmob.z

Recommended Posts

I got a notification on two apps like this; one is Android/PUP.Riskpay.Xinyin.wch the other is Android/PUP.Riskware.batmob.z  I have a Doogee Latte (a Korean smartphone that has up until recently been working fine.)

Neither can be uninstalled, but I was successfully able to disable the second.  I can't find the location of the Xinyin app on my phone to disable it - how do I do that? (there's nothing called Xinyin and it uses the Android icon, so I can't identify it by that.)

I've wanted to root my phone for a while as there is a problem with the storage settings that is in the system, but I don't want to do anything that will expose my personal information to these apps.  Is my only solution a factory reset and then rooting the phone?
