Hi Malwarebytes,

I checked my logs today and I found that:

Protection, 4/22/2016 8:09 AM, SYSTEM, USER-PC, Protection, Malicious Website Protection, Failed,

and that:

Error, 4/22/2016 8:09 AM, SYSTEM, USER-PC, Protection, MWAC::CreateList - Rules IP Block List, 536870924,

What is that? Should I be worried? After I booted up my computer malwarebytes didn't show up but when I rebooted it again malwarebytes works fine with active protection and everything.

Hello and welcome::)

Without seeing the complete protection log, it's hard to say for sure.
It looks as if it might be the result of MBAM trying to phone home for updates immediately after a system start, before networking is fully operational.

We could better assist you if you could please provide a bit more system information and some info about your MBAM installation/settings.
To do that, I suggest the following:

  1. Please reply back to this thread with the full MBAM PROTECTION log for the day in question, as a *.TXT file attachment to your post (instructions HERE); AND
  2. Please also follow the steps in this pinned topic to generate some basic diagnostic info & attach those 3 logs to your next reply, as well: Diagnostic Logs

Thank you,

Hi:

Thanks for the logs.

While we wait for a staff member to respond...

The protection log looks as if there may have been an intermittent, self-limited issue connecting to the update servers. However, MBAM seems to be updating normally since that time (although we do not have a "current" protection log from today to review).
Perhaps it was a networking glitch, a temporary software clash, or a temporary server hiccup. It's hard to say.

The CheckResults.txt log, however, does show that the MBAM program version was updated on 3/31/2016, but that it was "on top" of your existing build.  So, while not strictly necessary if everything is working OK, you might want to try a "clean" reinstall. To do so, please carefully follow all the steps here: MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x

If the error persists or recurs after that, then we would need to see a fresh set of all 3 logs (please place a checkmark in the "Addition.txt" option before re-running FRST, so that it will produce both logs).

Perhaps a staff member will have additional suggestions.

Thanks for your patience,

Hi,

If by " intermittent, self-limited issue connecting to the update servers ," you mean that I have connection issues then you're right. I was experiencing internet connection issues that day when this was happening. Anyways malwarebytes seems to be working normally like always.
