MBAM no longer starts

Recommended Posts

MBAM had been running fine for two years, but once I allowed an update to install a few days ago it no longer starts. I do get an icon in the tray which disappears when I put the mouse over it. There is no error message.

I already tried the clean remove and re-install. It did not make any difference.

$ sha256sum mbam-clean-2.1.1.1001.exe

$ sha256sum mbam-setup-2.2.1.1043.exe

I have attached the 3 log files.

The license says it's Free. So even if you right click and choose "Run as administrator" from the Start Menu it still will not load?

Are you  sure that COMODO Antivirus did not have an update and is now possibly blocking MBAM?

I'm not seeing any specific infection but I do see where the computer is having trouble with many things in the logs. This could be from too strict lock down from security software or could be damage from a previous infection.. Could be software conflict. I'd check and make sure Comodo is not locking the box down too much.
