If this is a new MBAM installation, please reboot the computer to see if that resolves the issue.

If it does not explain or fix the issue, a proper clean reinstall usually will resolve it, as long as the computer is not infected or having other problems.
To do that, I suggest that you please carefully follow all the steps in this pinned topic: MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x.
