If I have Malwarebytes Premium Why do I have to purchase separate software to protect against ransomeware? Isn't ransomeware a type of malware? It could even fall under the category of a unwanted program which needs no other program to protect against. It seems as though you just want to profit from some A**hole that creates a malware (ransomeware) to exploit users. Users protection is not your number one priority.

Hi, @jgillespie, and :welcome:

In addition to what daman1 wrote above, please see the following links to better understand the role of this βeta product as well as future plans for it:

  1. The original Blog post by Marcin announcing MBARW:  https://blog.malwarebytes.org/malwarebytes-news/2016/01/introducing-the-malwarebytes-anti-ransomware-beta/
  2. The sticky at the top of this forum by Pedro announcing MBARW:
  3. The sticky right below the above on by Pedro explaining the βeta test, need for an alternate product, and future plans for the product:
  4. And, finally, the confirmation from MB Staff Maurice about the integration into MBAM:

I hope this answers all of your questions regarding this product and the βeta test.  If not, please feel free to post back any additional queries that you may have.  :)
