If I use the mouse to move the cursor back up to the same line of the link.

If I use the moues and add  a space after the link.

If I compose the text on the new line, and then use backspace to move it up to the old line.

<interloper arrival>

Copy/paste from the "support.malwarebytes.org" KB articles pages also seems to be screwed up.

They behave like "external" links, not "internal" ones and they misbehave when trying to add them to a reply.

<interloper departure>

Edit: That seemed to work for me.

Did this work?

Umm, no, that wasn't what I meant.:(

I was merely posting the main link to the main KB portal to provide the general context. That link worked OK.

But, when I tried to reply here, with a link to the Skype KB article, using the SUBJECT as a display and the URL as the link, it messed up (as I have seen it do many times).

So, I abandoned the display thing and just posted the native URL.

And you'll notice that those links don't show up with little "snippet", like truly internal links do.

(I have no idea why it worked here, in this post...)

But never mind -- I am too exhausted from trying to help users AND debug this bloody forum software.

It's time for IPS to step up and do their share to restore proper functionality and workflow.:rolleyes:

Just verified that the URL bug is still present.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start making a reply using the editor box.
  2. Copy an external URL (say from CNN).
  3. Paste here in the Editor.
  4. after pasting, type a SPACE character (IOW, hit the spacebar), then continue typing your reply.

The last part is appended to the URL, making it a big mess.

http://www.mcshield.net/ THIS SHOULD NOT BE A PART OF THE URL

  1. Follow Steps 1-3 above.
  2. Hit ENTER
  3. Type a SPACE
  4. Continue your reply.
  5. Move the cursor to the end of ht URL pasted
  6. Hit delete.
