Recommended Posts

After update to version 0.9.15.416, plugging any USB 3 device into a USB 3 port on computer cause it to go to blue error screen and a reboot of computer. This happens either when booting with a USB 3 device plugged in or computer running and plugging in a USB 3 device. USB 2 ports unaffected.

Computer is a Windows 10 Enterprise, current update, Intel i7-4820K, 16 GB ram.

Hello rbatoon and :welcome:

If the system in question is configured to permit the creation of [a] corresponding Small Memory Dump BSOD .dmp file(s) please continue:

  1. Hold down the Windows Key WindowsKey.png + type R. A Run window should appear.
  2. Copy and Paste, or type, the following into the Run Window's: Open: box (Please do include the quotes). "%SystemRoot%\Minidump\"
  3. A Windows' Explorer window containing .dmp file(s) should appear. Please select the/all relevant file(s) in this directory.  If a Location is not available window appeared, single-left-click OK and go to Permitting Small Memory Dump Files:. Else continue.
  4. With all relevant files selected, single-right-click the selected file(s) and make the screen's pointer hover over Send To and then single-left-click Compressed (zipped) folder.
  5. This should have produced a new zip archive.  Rename this archive BSOD.zip
  6. At this point Attach the just created BSOD.zip archive to this topic through the forum's reply window's More Reply Options button.

Permitting Small Memory Dump Files:
If the system's Minidump directory or the Small Memory Dump .dmp files were absent, please consider following the computer's OS procedures for permitting their creation in future similar troubleshooting scenarios.
If you require additional assistance with this, please do not hesitate to ask.
