Black screen after Malaeware scan

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I accidentally downloaded some malware recently and used malwarebytes to clean it.

I ran malwarebytes and restarted. After restarting Windows booted directly into safe mode. So I restarted again into normal mode using msconfig. But popup box came up stating Malwarebytes needed to restart again to fix the network settings.

After restarting and logging in...I was met with a black screen! I can run task manager from this screen but the windows UI is not seen. Also, all network connections are disabled. I tried doing a system restore, but that's not working either it's throwing some error saying it failed to extract qwindow.dll from the Malewarebytes directory.

What do i do?

Anyone other than the original starter of this thread please DO NOT follow the instructions and advice posted as replies here, my help and advice is NOT related to your system and will probably cause more harm than good...

Next,

Download attached fixlist.txt file (end of reply) and save it to the Desktop, or the folder you saved FRST into.
NOTE. It's important that both FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

Run FRST and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt) or the folder it was ran from. Please post it to your reply.

Let me see that log, also give update on remaining issues

Thank you,

Kevin
