false positives with common software

Recommended Posts

Running TortoiseGIT to develop triggers the ransomware detection.

Deleting a 4,5GB USB drive with Windows 7 installation files, also triggers the detection.

Both Explorer.exe and Git.exe are reported to have been quarantined, although they do not show up in that window in the MalwareBytesAntiRansomware.

Logs are attached.

Hello Kiria and :welcome:

Please create the following zipped archives for developer team analysis:

Create a zip archive of the directory C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware\
Create another zip archive of the exact TortoiseGIT executable that had triggered MBARW Beta.

Please attach the above zipped archives to your next reply.

Thank you for beta testing MBARW and your valued feedback.
