Sorry but this bug is very severe, every two weeks Anti-Randsome detects the file from Office "ClickToRun.exe" as Randsome puts this into the Quarantane (where it never arrvies) and afterwards alle office programms are not startable anymore and your have no other choic than installing the total office package new and now i am doing this this third time within two months.

And therefore I will delete this Malwarebytes programm as it is not useable !!!

Hello christa and welcome:

The false positive "OfficeClickToRun.exe" is easily accommodated by entering its full pathname in MBARW GUI Dashboard -> Exclusions.

The loss of Office 2016 functionality, from MBARW use, is always easily repaired without the need for a re-install via an available detailed procedure.

Then the above MBARW suggested exclusion prevents future deletion of the above file. If the computer in question still has its MBARW directories, the exclusion can be entered.

Thank you for beta testing MBARW and your feedback.

I had to versions of the file in the exclusion but still doesn´t work and also MBARW doesn´t put the file in the Quaratane as their is not program shown and the file couldn´t be find on the harddisc anymore. Thats all too strange for a normal user, you shouldn´t program something which confused the people so much.

And why is the "Available detailed procedure" not available online somewhere?

Please show the procedure here to all other people which have the same problems with this not so good working beta. Thanks

Hello christa:

The URL below will eventually go "404" just as the pathname for the MBARW Beta exclusion window will become obsolete as Microsoft releases their "fixes". I am not keeping it from members, but since the Microsoft updates earlier this month, details will change. I also lack the wherewithal to test all possible combinations. The solution for others may not work for your individual system.

How to possibly Repair an Office application after a MBARW Beta/Microsoft Office false positive.

  1. Please consider producing a hard copy of the procedure within Repair an Office application.
  2. Restart the computer in question into the Windows Normal mode and terminate unnecessary applications.
  3. Follow Microsoft's procedure within step 1.
  4. Again, restart the system into Windows Normal mode.
  5. Confirm the previously missing file has been restored.

Please reply to your topic with the status of your system.

Thank you.
