Thank you, wekellyjr. Like mr_cliffw I have already tried re-installing and that did not work. Since posting my earlier comment I managed to 'enable' the programme but when I shut down I did not close it but only minimised it. Next time I booted my laptop the programme remained 'enabled'. Let's see how long that works.

I've only seen it disabled on startup once, and clicking on fix it actually enabled the protection again.  I've had to restart my Win10 machine 8 times already in diagnosing a separate issue with the Insider Preview build that I am running, as well as an issue I may have with MBAE.

Every other time it comes up normal.  I suspect, though, that it might be a timing issue.

If you can get it working normally, then try this and see if it makes a difference on reboots:

If you reboot, and let your computer sit there waiting to log in for about a minute, does it still do this?

Hello @ST and :welcome:

It is disappointing to read your testing system is having MBARW Beta issues but each computer is unique. Problems that seem "the same" frequently are not.

The same is true for solutions. Solutions may often need to be individualized for your unique testing system.

It is less confusing for everyone if a "One Member Per Topic" policy is adhered to instead of posting to the topic of another member.

Development Team Members, Staffers and helpers will be able to more easily provide both you, and the OP/Topic Starter, with individualized assistance.

Please start a NEW, and SEPARATE topic by left-clicking this >>Start New Topic<< link now.

Thank you always for your patience and understanding.

  • 2 weeks later...

On 2oth March I reported that I nolonger 'Close' the programme I only 'Minimise'. This appears to work as it has not 'Disabled' since. Additionally I now only 'Maximise' the programme by 'Double Clicking' on the logo in the 'Notifications' area. So far so good. I hope thjios helps the developers.
