So every 15 minutes of the entire day I get an extremely abrasive Malwarebytes random popup on the lower-right corner, it'll either say Skype is a virus or it'll just randomly open up the Malwarebytes program and leave it at that.

I tried disabling every form of notification but it still pops up every 15 minutes, how do I prevent this from spamming me relentlessly? Or do we need to switch to another program.

Hello and Welcome

Why does Malwarebytes Anti-Malware block Skype

To disable notifications if wanted you would have to disable All notifications in Settings -> General Settings -> Notifications

I tried that, it didn't work, I still get the popup every 15 minutes despite disabling that and the other notification option.

Your only other choice is to add Skype (process) as an exclusion in Web Exclusions although this is not highly recommend, it will stop the notifications, however you will still be protected you just won't be able to see when you encounter a block while using Skype.

Skype has very little to do with this, the program itself opens every 15 minutes

Let's try this first next....

  1. Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
  2. If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)
  3. NOTE: More info about v2.2.0 HERE; User Guide ONLINE; User Guide PDF; FAQ: Common Questions, Issues, and their Solutions

Please let us know how it goes. Thank You, Firefox
