License failed to activate

Installed anti ransomware beta 5 version 0.9.14.361 yesterday and keep getting same error message(license failed to activate).

System is a Windows 7 with Kaspersky Total Security, MWB Anti-malware and MWB Anti-exploit (both premium licenses).

Problem was not solved by attempting to start with Kaspersky protection turned off or after system re-starts and an attempt to re-install the software.

Hello @WGSparkie and :welcome:

It is disappointing to read your testing system is having MBARW Beta issues but each computer is unique. Problems that seem "the same" frequently are not.

The same is true for solutions. Solutions may often need to be individualized for your unique testing system.

It is less confusing for everyone if a "One Member Per Topic" policy is adhered to instead of posting to the topic of another member.

Development Team Members, Staffers and helpers will be able to more easily provide both you, and the OP/Topic Starter, with individualized assistance.

Thank you always for your patience and understanding.

I have the same problem ÿour licence failed to activate"by the first installation then I booted again and it looked no problems further I could start protection (that was the first which stood on the rebooted screen.) it looked okay. Then I rebooted the second time after the installation and now I get again the "licence failed" message.  I use win 7 with older Malwarebytes anti-malware 2181057 (who runs properly)  and I was trying anti-rasnsomware beta 0914361.  Maybe I first have to update the older anti-malware version?????

Found 2 zombies in Task manager (W10/1511; Process Explorer 16.01 by Marc Russinovich)

name: ~mwb~something.exe

Killed them both, off my Anti-Ransomware went.

Dunno If that helps, try it.

Regards

Thank you Paula4712 for the suggestions, unfortunately still having the problem

Hello ChrisVegas:

Careful analysis of your archives indicates that an entirely unimpeded two-way full-time path must exist between the MBARW Beta application, its associated files, and the domain below:

                     mwbsys.com

Please insure that if any sort of proxy setting, HOSTS file entry, web filter/third party firewall application in use, that you add the above as Trusted.

Please reply to this topic with your system's status. Thank you.

Not sure what you mean by system status, please clarify if below is not what you requested. Still getting the same error pending reboot after changes listed below. Will update post if error disappears after reboot.

- Added MWBAR to the list of trusted Kaspersky applications, and

- Added the URLs you listed to accepted in firewall of Kaspersky (see enclosed pics)

- In addition, also added the MBARW application folder to exclusion list in MWB anti-malware.
