Fingerprinting attempt detected and keystroke lag

Recommended Posts

Hi, I hope you can help please.

I earlier attempted to go onto a banking site and my computer completely froze for about 30 seconds. The mouse would not move and I could not do anything.

I then started to experience keystroke lag, and a few minutes later my Malwarebytes anti-exploit said a fingerprinting attempt was detected.

To stop the keystroke lag I had to restart my computer which fixed it.

I have also recently noticed that my Microsoft Security Essentials seems to take longer than usual to show the status as "Protected" when I start my computer, and although recent scans have detected nothing could this indicate that I have an infection?

I am running MSE (up to date), Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (, and IBM Security Trusteer Rapport (1507.113).

I have now stopped internet banking due to this concern, so any guidance or assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.
