Cannot uninstall Anti-Ransomware

Recommended Posts

Since last week I have some serious explorer related issues. This seems to coincide with the installation of the AR-beta so I tried to uninstall it but when I try to uninstall it I get the following error:

---------------------------
Uninstall
---------------------------
File "C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Ransomware\unins000.dat" does not exist. Cannot uninstall.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

please advise

Hello topdo9:

You may re-install MBARW Beta, as before, over the existing install and attempt to uninstall in a conventional manner through the Windows system Control Panel.

Alternatively:

Please restart the system in question to the Windows Safe Mode and try manually deleting the following directories if Microsoft's Windows and MBARW Beta were conventionally installed to the C: partition:

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\

C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware\

C:\ProgramData\MBAMService\

Then restart the Windows system to the Windows Normal Mode.

Please do reply to this topic with your system's status.

Thank you.

Hello topdo9:

That is good news! If MBARW Beta5 has been successfully re-installed and difficulties arise, please carefully read the locked and pinned topic in this sub-forum, How to report a False Positive and for developer analysis, kindly attach the requested archives to your next reply in your topic.

Thank you for beta testing MBARW and your feedback.
