Many windows are opened?

Recommended Posts

Hi:

We'll need a bit more information in order to better assist you -- for starters, what version of Firefox? ;)

Next: Does the same thing happen in Mozilla Safe Mode and Firefox Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)?

("Help" > "Restart with Add-ons Disabled")

Next: Have you tried any of the other standard Firefox diagnostics -- Firefox-Standard Diagnostic?

Next: It might help us to better assist you if you could please provide a bit more system information.
To do that, please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)

Thank you,

A Firefox setting?

Firefox Settings (The little cogwheel on the right of the address bar).
General.
'When Firefox starts'

Change that from 'Show my windows and tabs from last time' to one of the other options.

Yep, that seems like another good place to start troubleshooting.

You may wish to reset all of your browsers to default.

Please visit each of the following sites and lets reset all of your browsers back to defaults to prevent unexpected issues.
If you are not using one of the browsers but it is installed then you may want to consider uninstalling it as older versions of some software can pose an increase in the potential for an infection to get in.

Internet Explorer

Firefox
Click on Help / Troubleshooting Information then click on the Reset Firefox button.

Chrome

If that fails then Uninstall Google Chrome and do not reinstall until sure the system is clean.

If that does not help then please post the requested logs mentioned by daledoc1

Thank you
