False Positive Teamviewer

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I just wanted to share a false positive with you.
Today, after using 4 days the Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware Beta, it removed my Teamviewer installation (TeamViewer_Service.exe etc) .
After I tried to install it, the installation aborted .
Unfortuantely, I don't see any way to use Teamviewer again, other than removing or stopping your software.

Hope this helps.

Hello fem and :welcome:

Please create the following files for developer analysis:

Create a ZIP file of the directory C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware\
Create another ZIP file of the directory C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\logs\

Please attach the above zipped files to your next reply.

Please consider placing the applicable Teamviewer executable in MBARW's Exclusions to avoid quarantine.

Thank you.

Hi again, please find the requested folder attached to this message. Unfortunately I don't have the second folder.
Furthermore, my MB Anti-Ransomware doesn'T show any quarantined file in the application , which is pretty bad.

However, today the software had another false positive with "officeclicktorun" from my Office 365 installation. It deleted the file and forced me to repair Office (after I uninstalled Anti-Ransomware).

Hope this helps..
