False Positive: MediaPortal.exe

Hi,

 

installed this on 5 Win10x64 and a Windows Home Server 2011 machine, very nice work. Never had ransomware so far, but if I had, I hope virus scanners plus this tool would help before any real harm can be done...

 

However, I have a false positive on one of my machines so far which is running as a HTPC: MediaPortal.exe (V1.13), obtained from www.team-mediaportal.de

 

And the tool then said it was moved to quarantine, but it obviously was not (quarantine was empty). Added it to the exceptions list, now everything works perfectly again. Keep up the good work!

MBARW is in its Beta-testing phase. That means we do not recommend installing it on any work-related machine as the results may be unpredictable. Especially on Windows Servers, which are not supported.
