Which download to use or both?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have an Apple computer that I have partitioned 1/2 of hard drive in order to run Windows programs...my question is: in downloading Malwarebytes, do I need to download the PC portion and use when running Windows and then download the Mac version and run on that side of the hard drive when I'm working on the Mac side? Or does one download work for the whole computer??? A little confused on this issue...

Thanks for any help on this issue...So impressed with Malwarebytes that I want to be sure I'm doing it right.

Malwarebytes for each operating system would be required there.  The Windows version knows nothing about Mac, and vice versa.  If you are using the free version, you will need to do scans on demand.  If you use the trial (or purchase the program), there could be issues if you ask the Windows installation to start upon boot-up.  I'm not hinting at any problems with the software, but instead my thoughts about a boot sequence when it is booting as a secondary OS instead of a primary.  Perhaps others with more knowledge could speak from experience about this aspect.
