False positive and progress bar window freeze

Recommended Posts

On both occasions, during the transfer of files from a small flash drive (USB2) to a larger flash drive (USB3) false positives were detected, and the progress bar froze. No files were found in Quarantine. I could not force close the frozen windows from the task manager. I rebooted (force closing the frozen windows during shutdown)

Hello scrunge and :welcome:

Please create the following files for developer analysis:

Create a ZIP file of the directory C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware\

Create another ZIP file of the directory C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\logs\

Create one last zip file using one of those files alerted on with a MBARW false positive.

Please attach the above zipped files to your next reply.

A Malwarebytes staffer could weigh-in on this issue.

Thank you for beta testing MBARW and your valued feedback.

Hello scrunge:

Thank you for not posting clickable links but the above point to untrusted and unapproved sources.

For the safety of all, please only attach the individually zipped files to your next reply.

If you require additional assistance with properly attaching files to this topic, please advise.

Thank you for your continued understanding and participating in the MBARW Beta program.
