Malwarebytes Breach Remediation v2.6 GA now available!

As mentioned in our press release two weeks ago, we announced Malwarebytes Breach Remediation, our new endpoint detection and remediation (EDR) cyber security platform.


Today Malwarebytes Breach Remediation (MBBR) version 2.6 is now available and will be making a debut at RSA. The following updates are included in this release:


New Features

·         Added enhancements to the customer database IOC feature to support new terminology

·         Added the ability to create a custom reboot message with a wait time option if a reboot is required to remove threats detected during a scan

·         Added error return codes in mbbrerr.h located in the doc subdirectory to help troubleshoot potential issues



·         Changed product name from Malwarebytes Malware Remediation to Malwarebytes Breach Remediation

·         Changed access controls to require Admin privileges when making any changes to the application

·         Changed default registration for subscription licenses from 48 hours to 2 weeks

·         Changed and updated the error message if an invalid proxy setting is used

·         Changed executable name from mbmr.exe to mbbr.exe

·         Changed the scan log output filename from MBMR-STDOUT.XML to MBBR-STDOUT.XML

·         Changed the log error output filename from MBMR-ERROUT.TXT to MBBR-ERROUT.TXT

·         Changed the identifier of quarantined items from integer to unique string
