New Install - Malwarebytes Acts More Like A Virus Than A Removal Tool

Recommended Posts

A couple of days ago I reset my Windows 10 PC.  Back to as new with nothing installed on it.

I installed Malwarebytes like I had before.  In the past I decided when to run it but now it loads automatically.

I shut it down and the next thing you know, its back in my face.  Repeatedly.

There doesn't appear to be a way to have it installed and act like it used to; I decide when it runs.

Am I going to be forced to find an alternative program that works like Malwarebytes but without that bizarre behavior?

Please.  Anybody.  Help.

Hello and Welcome to Malwarebytes :)

It sure sounds like you have installed Malwarebytes in Trial Mode.

Let's try this first.... (Make sure during the install process you uncheck the start trial version at the end of the install)

Please let us know how it goes.

Thank You,

Firefox

Followed your directions.  All seem back to normal.

Thank you very much.
