bad pool header crash from certain web ads

Recommended Posts

I'm running all 33 memory dumps - but I'm also late for work.

I'll try to get back online in about 8 hours to finish this up, if not, then it will definitely be done by tomorrow AM (UTC-5, east coast of the US).

Only 284 Windows Update hotfixes installed.  Most systems with SP1 have 400 or more.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

These devices are disabled in Device Manager.  Did you deliberately disable them?  If so, why?

HP LaserJet Professional P 1102w    ROOT\MULTIFUNCTION\0000    This device is disabled.
HP LaserJet 200 color M251nw    ROOT\MULTIFUNCTION\0001    This device is disabled.
Bluetooth Network Adapter    BTMUSB\BTMNET\00000001    This device is disabled.

Please uninstall the HP printers.  You can download and install current drivers after we've finished troubleshooting.

Please:

- download a fresh copy of the Bluetooth Network Adapter drivers

- enable the Bluetooth network adapter

- update the drivers with the fresh copy

- then, if you so desire, feel free to disable it again.

The memory dumps seem to focus on MalwareBytes (as you have figured) - but I have a theory about this.

It is my opinion that MalawareBytes is similar enough to an antivirus that it conflicts with other antivirus programs.

The common thought is that they fight for control of files while scanning them - and that's what causes the problem.

In this case I think that there's 2 problems.

First is that there's a conflict between MalwareBytes and McAfee.

The simple "fix" is to stop MalwareBytes from loading with Windows.

Other options are to uninstall MalwareBytes or McAfee

There appears to be another problem also - from the earlier memory dumps (October and November of 2015).

This seems to show an issue with your networking drivers.

Please download a fresh copy of both the wired and wireless drivers for your system from the HP support website and install them

Monitor for further BSOD's from that.
