False Positive - MRT.exe

HighVoltage

Recommended Posts

MBAR quarantined C:\Windows\System32/mrt.exe and a registery entry as ransomware.  I believe it is a legitimate MS file (Microsoft Removal Tool).

I restored and attempted to follow false positive reporting instruction but cannot locate directories C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware\ and C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\logs\  on my Windows 10 system.  Also the zipped MRT.exe is too large to attach (59,380 KB).

Please advise as to what to do next.

Thanks!
