Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit blocking "Office Tab"

I have the same problem as mentioned in this (now locked) thread:

 

"[sOLVED] MWBE blocks Office Tab" (https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/176024-solved-mwbe-blocks-office-tab/)

 

It is labelled as having been solved, but no solution is given. I wanted to reply to it, but can't, as it has been locked. 

 

I am having the same problem, and have attached my logs.

Hi Michael, welcome to the forum.

 

The problem might be a different one. Can you verify if the problem goes away if you disable the Office-Tab add-in in Word?

 

Also can you please post your FRST logs? We'd like to try to replicate this internally. You can find instructions in the link in my signature.

The problem is, if I disable the Office-Tab add-in in Word, I can't use it, so I can't test if it gets blocked.

Glad I saw this.  I was about to update to the newest version that supports Office 2016 / 365 Home.  I'll wait until it is solved and then upgrade and test on my machine.

Hi i spent 20 minutes battling your really hard captchas and super complicated password requirements to come here and say that I too am having this same experience with office tab.  Is there any fix other than disabling ROP protection for office?
