False Positive - Windows 10 apps

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody, how are you?

I have Beta version which put two legitimate Windows 10 apps (downloaded from Windows Store), The Weather Channel & Candy Crush, into Quarantine (see pic).

When I choose Restore, an error pops up stating "The Restore operation could not be performed due to an error.  Please visit the beta forum to request assistance."

Any ideas/suggestions?

Hello kkoz83:

Despite the failure to restore from MBARW quarantine, please attach the requested logs for now.

Please carefully read How to report a False Positive and for developer analysis, kindly attach the requested files to your next reply in this thread.

Please confirm that at least one system restart was performed before attempting to restore the Windows Store applications from the MBARW quarantine.

Thank you for beta testing MBARW and your feedback.

Hello kkoz83:

It's great that you were able to achieve the restorations.

The logs show that the system in question may still be testing MBARW Beta4.

If this is the case, it is strongly advised that Beta5 be installed over Beta4. You may download MBARW Beta5 from the download source within the introduction announcement posting: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/177751-introducing-malwarebytes-anti-ransomware/

Thank you for your continued interest in MBARW Beta testing and your valued feedback.
