Installing Windows 7

Recommended Posts

I presently run Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit and I am planning to install Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit.

I have decided to do a clean install rather than an in-place update.

I have Malwarebytes lifetime license and my version right now is Since I will have to reinstall mbam after I have installed Windows 7, is there a special link where I must go to get the installation file?

There is no "special link".

The setup file for Free and Trial versions is the same. :)

It is available here and here.

Premium users "activate" the program with their license Key/ID.

So just be sure you have that license info handy before you start the process.

This shows how - you would just be doing it on the same computer, rather than 2 different physical systems: How do I transfer my Malwarebytes Anti-Malware license to a different computer?

The full clean install instructions are here: MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x

Hope this helps,

Hello Nikilet.

One caveat since you are rebuilding the whole system from scratch.  This is about your Malwarebytes license.

Before starting to wipe the old OS, first get into the Malwarebytes program.  Click the My Account icon.  Click on the Deactivate button and Exit.

This should be done on your old operating system.

Then, after you have finished rebuilding the system, then do a install and activation just as a regular procedure.
