Rajisaac Posted January 30, 2016 ID:1016601 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Hey everyone,I ran Chameleon on a laptop andthe above error code, it then asked me if I wanted to Continue without scanning root-kitsMy product is a Dell computer. Other forum posts suggest that it is down to an encrypted hard-drive?I don't think I've ever encrypted it, I wouldn't know how to. How would I find out? And also, is it possible thar a virus or something has encrypted the laptop or something and preventing scanning of root-kits?
1PW Posted January 30, 2016 ID:1016614 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Hello Rajisaac:Please read the topic Diagnostic Logs and then individually ATTACH the 3 requested logs in your next reply to this thread only. The 3 files, from Step 1, to be individually ATTACHED from your desktop are CheckResults.txt, FRST.txt and Addition.txt. Please do not Zip or Copy and Paste them into a reply. Please do not alter, any FRST categories as they are pre-configured for this forum.Thank You. Firefox Posted February 4, 2016 ID:1017546 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Don't worry, it will stay open until you return, normally they do not close out topics unless requested or if the topic gets out of hand... Post the logs when you get a chance.
Rajisaac Posted February 7, 2016 Author ID:1017875 Share Posted February 7, 2016 Hi Firefox, I have anothee thread open, is it okay if I post the logs after I have had that addressed? Anothee forum helper said it is best to do an issue at a time. Thank you though, I shall update once I have sorted the other issue.
