Office 365 2016 Update

I got notification that an update was available for my Office 365 2016. I followed the instructions and suddenly I was warned that malware had been detected.

This malware was the update to Office 365! I tried to restore, but MB would have none of it. Now I no longer have the ability to roll back or go forward with the upgrade. At this point, the only way out of this mess is to reinstall Windows 10!

Thankfully, I had put the beta of MB on my beta machine, not my regular one!

At any rate, Anti-malware has been uninstalled. I will have to do a clean install of Windows 10 and I will not put MB back on it!

This is not a beta! It's "dogfood" as we beta testers in the industry call it!

Hi,

Is this a Malwarebytes detection or a detection from Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware Beta?

If the latter, please report this into this forum: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/forum/172-malwarebytes-anti-ransomware-beta/ but please read here first: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/177810-how-to-report-a-false-positive/

As you know, this program is still in beta - hence why it's recommended to to install the product in non-production environments for testing purposes only, as you can read here: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/177751-introducing-malwarebytes-anti-ransomware/

That's why this beta testing and your help is needed to finetune our program.

If this is a normal malwarebytes detection (no beta version), then please read here: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/3228-please-read-before-reporting-a-false-positive/

Thanks!
