Long shut down times

I have the same problem with long shut down times in the current build. I just started testing with this build so i'm not sure if this problem was present in past builds on my machine. I think it's the service that does not want to shut down. It takes almost a full minute for my computer to shut down. I'm using Windows 7X64 Ultimate.

Hello again good folks of Malwarebytes... So it would seem that the long shutdown times affecting Windows 7*  (I run Ultimate) x64 continues to be an issue since first reported.

Just letting you know I continue to follow the thread in my attempt to stay apprised.  I am hoping that a fix will resolve the issue in the near future.

Additionally, I finally must comment on a couple of replies I have noticed either directly or indirectly to my original post, specifically in support of a staff response to a couple of replies regarding registry residue left over after uninstalling MWARW....

I fully support the staff response to Antec and further think it is neither useful or appropriate to encourage or solicit the use of third-party software (IE various registry cleaners).  This is not what the topic is about nor is it even remotely relevant to the issue Long shutdown times... ( I simply mentioned it towards the very end of my original post as an innocuous observation and in turn received a satisfactory reply from Malwarebytes directly... no further commentary about is necessary or desired from other users)

It is my suggestion that users who post in the forums and Beta Testers limit their conversational discussions to the staff responses and replies of Malwarebytes directly and not engage other users such as myself... I do not welcome input or suggestions from other random posters and prefer that posts intended to be a dialog solely with Malwarebytes be respected and treated as such by other users.

Thank you Malwarebytes for continuing to assess and troubleshoot the ongoing issue of Long Shutdown Times regarding MBARW.

- faithfully

Hey good folks...

**********

I did also notine, the program did not appear to completely remove itself after uninstalling, leaving the Malwarebytes MBARW folder in Program Data with what I guess were config files and the likes for MBARW. So I suppose you might want to add checking that it completely uninstalls to your testing list as well.

Hello,

However. It is you who brought the subject on the désinstalation problem ! So do not mix topics

I gave you a solution ... it does not ... Please feel free to use it or not!

When the long-shut-down-times. Personally the product is installed on more than ten PC, MSI Asus Dell Acer with W7 or W8.1 or W10 and no worries of long-shut-down-times

To find your worries, good luck to Mbam staff

Best regards

It never ceases to amaze me that people think self-righteous off-topic "flaming" on Beta Testing forums is productive or useful.  "Destination?"  I have no idea what that even means (nor do I care).  A harmless observation towards the end of my original post is not a valid example of "mixing topics."  I speak with the Malwarebytes staff... not random opportunists who look to take comments out of context and use them to shamelessly promote other things. What this person (New Member from France) wants... is some kind of acknowledgment to validate commentary that is neither useful nor beneficial.  Further, I think this thread and community would appreciate it if posts were limited to posts and discussions that specifically address the  Malwarebytes staff about the thread topic.

My suggestion to all, I repeat... to "ALL" users, posters, and Beta Testers... is that if you really think things such as your own 3rd party software suggestions and other off-topic comments are so critical and pertinent... that you start a new topic thread addressing it specifically.... rather than wasting thread space on pointless replies iaimed at self-justification towards other users who never solicited your opinions in the first place.

This thread is meant to address Long shutdown times.   Let's keep it that way and not de-volve into areas that are not aimed at addressing solutions for more-than-likely non-related issues!

Hello,

My apologize for the delay in response, sometimes these posts get buried and it becomes difficult to answer.

This is a known defect and we are aware of it and working on fixing it. Please know that this will be fixed before the rolling of the functions of arw into mbam for sure, and most likely sooner.

We will keep users updated, but you can also find the things we address each release in the main stickied thread in this beta forum.

Thanks!
