Uninstall not successful Android/trojan.spy.smsthief.ay

This is the first time a scan has shown issues on my phone. I am using an LG L31L on Straightalk Wireless.

Tonight a scan ran and popped up with an issue:

Android/trojan.spy.smsthief.ay

/system/app.TracfoneClientProvioning.apk

When I attempt to remove it, it says "Uninstall not successful". I have read a couple other related forums. To my knowledge (based off of reading through all the posts) this was/is a false issue that was supposed to be fixed in December 2015. All my apps are up to date, including malware bytes. Is this something I should be concerned with, or is the bug not fixed?
