Anti-Malware and VPNs

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to connect to SurfEasy's VPN (v3.4.476) and it won't connect, even if added to the connections. SurfEasy's support insists that it is A-M (2.2.0.1024) that is the cause. They made the statement that "Even if all services and processes are shutdown, A-M will still block SurfEasy". Being a LAN administrator, that seems on the ludicrous side. How can completely disabled software still monitor VPNs? They remained adamant that A-M is the source of the problem. My Windows VPNs work perfectly fine. It's only SurfEasy that won't connect.

Can anyone confirm whether A-M does block VPN applications?

Thanks!

Hello:

Welcome. :)

We'll need to wait for a Malwarebytes staff member to respond with a specific answer to your inquiry.

Until then, we could better assist you if we knew a bit more about the system.

Please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)

Thank you,
