Problems with csrss.exe

I am using windows7
I can use safe mode OK but normal mode is unuseable, very slow.

In a search of C: I see at least 5 csrss.exe files two of which include the letters MUI

I installed the free trial of MBytes and ran a scan.

There were many files found and  deleted but the csrss files are still present.

On startup I notice a message box announcing McCaffe is starting but it is out of date but I do not seem able to delete McCaffe in the control panel.

Can anyone please advise how to remove the suspected virus.

I cannot down load the Farbar Recovery software as I cannot get on line with the computer (a laptop) which has the problems.

 

I tried copying the download to an sd card but cannot open this on the laptop either.

 

It is strange because last night the internet connection on the laptop worked just fine.

 

The connection itself is good, I am on a different machine a PC sending this email..

I won't be able to help you without FRST reports. Can  you transfer FRST by using USB Flash drive? Let me know what you did.
