Browsers not working after Malwarebytes scan, but Skype is

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.
I'm new to this forum.
I just recently installed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and scanned my laptop.

The first scan didn't fix the issue, so I ran a second scan.

After the second scan, the browsers (Chrome & IE) stopped working, Chrome returns

'This webpage is not available

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN'

I have seen other posts regarding the same topic, but I created a new one since all the instructions given there were specific to the users who posted.
I really cannot do any of my projects without an active internet connection. I'm posting this from my wife's laptop.
I'm using Windows 7 SP1 64 bit.
The Scan logs are attached.

Appreciative of your help!

Hello RWD1 and :welcome:

The logs indicate the computer is probably still infected and malware removal actions are not permitted in this subforum.

I recommend following the advice from the topic: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and have one of the Malware Removal Experts assist you with your issue.

If, as recommended, you do open a topic in Malware Removal Help, please make reference to this thread.

If you would like to get off to a very fast start, the Malware Removal Experts would appreciate it if you would also attach (not copy/paste) both the FRST.txt and the Addition.txt output diagnostic reports from only Log Set 1 into your new topic. Please do not tick, nor untick, any pre-configured FRST categories.

Note: Please do not paste or attach any more XML based files unless specifically requested to do so. The preferred report type will always be a text file (.txt).

Thank you very much RWD1 and good luck.
