'Malwarebytes has stopped working'.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have an ongoing problem with MBAM Pro.

When I perform a scan on a folder or file the majority of the time I get the Windows error message stating that MBAM encountered a problem and has stopped working.

This has occurred when scanning through the context menu option and has also occurred during scheduled scans.

I have followed the 'clean install' pinned write up a couple of times but the issue persists.

I use MBAM Pro in conjunction with Windows Defender. I have added the exemptions posted elsewhere on the forum.

Any thoughts/ suggestions? I doubt it's a compatibility issue.

Tom

I see you've upgraded your previous OS to Windows 10 - the upgrade process may be the issue here. Please try the following clean removal and reinstall and let us know if that corrects the issue or not.

Please uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest version. MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x

So does the program run okay when you're not trying to activate it?

Will probably have to have you post in the malware removal section of the forum to run some other scans.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

Thanks
