blocks my wireless internet

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Just downloaded Malwarebyte as have REALLY annoying DNSblocker virus. Program gets rid of virus but keeps coming back when I turn off MWBT to get internet working. MWBTallows me to connect to my home wireless internet but won't allow ANY websites to open. I turn Malwarebyte off and all works fine. There must be some settings somewhere I haven't got correct??? I will happily buy the premium program if I can get this to work.... Can anyone help me??? Thanks in anticipation.

Hello gavlow and :welcome:

Your description probably indicates the system is infected further and malware removal actions are not permitted in this subforum.

I recommend following the advice from the topic: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and have one of the Malware Removal Experts assist you with your issue.

If, as recommended, you do open a topic in Malware Removal Help, please make reference to this thread.

If you would like to get off to a very fast start, the Malware Removal Experts would appreciate it if you would also attach (not copy/paste) both the FRST.txt and the Addition.txt output diagnostic reports from only Log Set 1 into your new topic. Please do not tick, nor untick, any pre-configured FRST categories.

Thank you.

Thanks - will do BUT I think there may be two problems

ie 1. The virus coming back (which I will repost on other forum) AND

2. the fact no browser will work while malwarebyte is opertaing. ie I clean the computer, reboot and then after opening a browser, I still can't access any website. I turn off MWBT and browser works fine. Are there settings I need to change or do you think this is still related to teh virus?? Is this question OK for this forum?
