Trojan.FakeAlert

Ive been having problems with scaning with my anti virus because it completely freezes my computer ...

I performed a quick scan with malwarebytes and found one infection, im not very familier with viruses and thought ild ask here for help

this registry key was infected :HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\winhost_app.winhost_appdll

Should i delete the registry key or is this an imporant file?

That is a left over trace . There is a CLSID , BHO and dll that all go with that key , all were already removed .

No , it is a trace left over from an infection .

While on its own it is not harmful , it is a malware component .

It will have no effect on your system if you leave it or if remove it .
