Test Sites

I've been tasked with benchmarking Malwarebytes against our current protection software. These tests will be performed on standalone, non-networked systems. I've found some sites where you can supposedly download viruses / malware for testing, but not sure about them. Can anyone recommend some sites that you have used?

I do not recommend that at all.

 

You could be comparing Apples and Oranges.  You wrote "...Malwarebytes against our current protection software."  Since Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware ( MBAM ) is an adjunct anti malware solution the tests can be flawed because the current protection software may not target the same objects.

 

MBAM is not anti virus application and does not deal with file infecting viruses by removing added malicious code.  The same is true for a trojan that "patches" or "trojanizes" legitimate files.

 

If the above is subject matter that you are unfamiliar with, your tests could cause collateral damage even though you may perform the test(s) on standalone, non-networked, platforms and thus contraindicated.
