Hi All,

 

Had a Window 7 laptop that has been cleaned up after finding 2996 trojans/pups.

 

MalwareBytes and ESET seem to have done a good job and the PC is functioning normally.

 

Annoyingly each time the PC boots its calling a program that I cannot find in registry and failing because the .DLL has been removed by one of the above. Error is 

 

RunDLL

 

There was a problem starting c:\users\username\AppData\Local\FollowComp\xBin\FollowComp.dll

 

Its not listed in registry or anything unusual in msconfig startup.

 

Infections found were crossbrowse, rootkit.cherimoya.A & Trojan.Dropper.MSIL

 

Believe that the user got infected using YTDownloader

Ran the tool and it showed it as being pulled from Task Sheduler.
