I ran mbam to remove Antivirus System Pro on my laptop. Windows Live Messenger and none of my web browsers seemed to connect to the internet after that. I unchecked their proxy setting and the browsers started working but Messenger is still not functioning. It used to freeze up and malfunction every time I tried to sign in, but I fixed that by erasing its registry files, however I'm still not able to sign on. Messenger's connection troubleshooter says that it's a Host File problem.

Could it have something to do with the files on quarantine?
