sflatty Posted November 12, 2015 ID:1001356 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Hi, I just installed version 1.08.1.1044 and immediately show 25 blocked exploits. I have some add-ins: shockwave, flash, silverlight, etc., but all disabled. I'm hoping you can explain and I'll be happy to provide more information if necessary, but I do not believe there is anyway for me to tell what exploits were blocked. The file with the contents of the MBAE folder is attached. It is compressed with 7-zip, hope that's okay. Thanks for any info, sflattyMalwarebytes Anti-Exploit.zip
Staff pbust Posted November 12, 2015 Staff ID:1001360 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Welcome to the forum stlatty. I don't see any blocked exploits in the logs. Are you seeing popup alerts from MBAE? Can you also please attach your FRST log here? Instructions can be found in the "readme first" link in my signature. Thanks!
sflatty Posted November 12, 2015 Author ID:1001364 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Thanks Pedro, for looking. Geez, I forgot Norton gives such a hard time installing FRST. So that may take a bit.Meanwhile, I was thinking. I had an older version that I had uninstalled a couple weeks ago. Any chance that the blocks that version performed were picked up in the new install? Back to FRST... Thanks.

sflatty Posted November 12, 2015 Author ID:1001369 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Sorry, to answer the pop-up question, no, there were not any.
Staff pbust Posted November 12, 2015 Staff ID:1001375 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Yes you are corrrect sflatty. The blocks where from earlier versions. Even if you deleted the MBAE logs directory when upgrading, the blocked exploits counter resides in the registry and survives an uninstall.
sflatty Posted November 12, 2015 Author ID:1001376 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Cool, thanks man. Nice to know things are clean. Just a little caught off guard there with 25. Have a great day!
