MBAM Scan Logs

MBAM Premium 2.2.0.1024  :  Windows 10 x64

 

When a scan is conducted, I know I can go to History and get a synopsis of the results of the scan.  Does MBAM store a record of the scan somewhere in .txt format?

Hi:

 

Scan logs are saved as XML files, but are easily exported to TXT format.

This tutorial shows how: How do I access and save logs from Malwarebytes Anti-Malware?

 

(Logs are stored - in XML format - under C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\Logs)

@Shrugged is right.

What I described was the default path for logging.

 

But you ought to be able to access any scan log directly from the GUI and then export it to a *.txt file anywhere you wish to save it.

MBAE 1.08 is now out of beta as 1.08.1.1044

It is not yet shipping via the program's auto-updater.

But it can be downloaded here and installed on top of your existing version.

I'm glad I could help. (And thanks to @Shrugged for pointing out the logging path & option for a non-default location.)

 

For the record, you can do the same -- export to a *.txt file -- with the protection logs, if you're looking for an event that happened in real-time, such as updates, IP blocks, malware detections, etc.

 

(MBAE handles logging a bit differently. The logs are found and exported following the steps here.  If you need help with MBAE logs, you might want to post in the MBAE support section here. )
