Protection Log File

Hello I am new to the forum.

I have discovered the protection log from Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Free) and was just wondering if this was a normal for the free version of MBAM.

In the protection log I get all of these updates:

 

Manual, Remediation Database, 2015.10.21.1, 2015.11.4.1,
Manual, Rootkit Database, 2015.10.28.1, 2015.11.4.2,
Manual, Domain Database, 2015.11.4.2, 2015.11.4.9,
Manual, Malware Database, 2015.11.3.8, 2015.11.4.8,

Manual, IP Database, 2015.11.2.2, 2015.11.4.1,

 

I was just wondering if this is normal for the free version of MBAM and what is the IP Database, Domain Database, and Remediation Database used for?

Hi:

 

 

AFAIK, yes, that is normal.

 

When you do a manual update check in MBAM Free, AFAIK it will pull down all of the same databases and rules sets as the Premium version (even though it's not "using" the IP/domain database in the Free version).

 

It's nothing to worry about.

AFAIK = "As far as I know"

Sorry, I don't know exactly.

But I wouldn't worry about it.

It's one of several types of databases used by MBAM.
