Can Malwarebytes be used with Webroot Anywhere Complete

Recommended Posts

I  recently purchased the latest version of Malwarebytes premium for three PCs, and I noticed that the install was very fast and it seemed to clean up a lot of junk that my Webroot Anywhere Complete missed. Can I run the Malwarebytes alongside the Webroot? Would there be a problem with that? Also, I've noticed that Malwarebytes seems to run in the background more, when I click on the security center on my laptop, only Webroot is listed as up and running and up to date, it doesn't show Malwarebytes, but I know its working because I ran the test check on it and it is working fine. I plan to only use it when my subscription to Webroot runs out. I have heard nothing but very good things about Malwarebytes premium. Thank-You very much. Mark 82

Hello and :welcome::

I  recently purchased the latest version of Malwarebytes premium for three PCs, and I noticed that the install was very fast and it seemed to clean up a lot of junk that my Webroot Anywhere Complete missed. Can I run the Malwarebytes alongside the Webroot?

Yes.
MBAM Premium is designed to run alongside all of the popular AVs, to provide complementary, layered protection against certain threats often missed by AVs.

Would there be a problem with that?

No.
But every computer is different.
You might want to proactively set mutual exclusions between MBAM and Webroot.
Let us know if you need help with that.

MBAM does not "report" to the Windows action center because it is not an anti-virus.
That is a feature of Windows.

MBAM (Free or Premium) is NOT a replacement for Webroot.
MBAM is NOT an anti-virus, nor does it replace an anti-virus.
So, even with MBAM Premium, you'll still need a robust, up-to-date, real-time AV, either free or paid.
There are many excellent choices and no "best" product to suit every computer, user and budget.
Some options are listed here: List of well known antivirus products
