False positive?

Salutations.. So I just got back to my PC after a 6 month break was 100% fine when I shut it off six months ago.. got back turned it on.. updated AVG and started getting a bunch of error messages with everything... firefox failed to update and kept crashing.. skype kept crashing.. windows update isnt working... so I thought it was the network but somethings were fine.. but fired up malwarebytes just incase and it found 2 rootkits..malware bytes then crashed.. brought it back up and ran the scan again.. rootkits had different secondary names and it found 3.. then I saw a post by a staff to go to run and type in mbam.exe /developer and run the scan again.. I did that and it installed a newer malwarebytes and ran the scan again.. this time it found 1 rootkit..

All in all comp was fine started it after 6 months and now network issues wont download updates and/or crashes programs.

Not sure if this is the real deal or what.. obviously why I am posting right..

In this text it shows the rootkit but says no malicous files detected but malware bytes says  malware deteced in the bottom right... and shows it under the catagory malware.
